My name is Anya Golovko; and I am an actress/technician from Houston, Texas!
Growing up as a first generation American in a Russian-Ukrainian household, I was given an incredible opportunity to use theatre and storytelling to express myself. After performing in my first Russian Musical Theatre production at the age of five playing a baby goat while wearing fur costume and jazz shoes and named after the solfege symbol Fa , I was immediately hooked.
The early passion I had for theatre continually persisted, which is why I currently attend Waldorf University to obtain my Bachelor of Arts degree in Musical Theatre and Theatre Performance, and I am expected to graduate this April 2024!
Experiencing theatre in a small school Northern Iowan environment for the past 4 years has had its challenges, but I was also able to gain both acting AND technical experiences! Besides performing, I have stage managed for 3 productions in the past 3 years and will be stage managing once again for a production of Only an Orphan Girl come February: while also acting in the production as the Female Song Leader! I have also made my chorographical debut this past year for The Addams Family at Waldorf; and have developed a passion for it as well. Getting to lead my peers and the rest of the communities I have gotten to know all my life is one of the few aspects of theatre I love the most.
In my free time, you can catch me: reading, swimming, creating and watching TikToks, going to concerts, and never stopping to talk about Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
